The second in the Twilight series is a better written book with interesting twists in the romance of teenaged vampire Edward and still human Bella. With the introduction of werewolves, The story takes on a new turn. Her love for monsters of all kinds seems to be unlike any that can be experienced for living beings of the same species. I like the unapologetic confusion in her at being in love with more than one person (if they can be called that). I hope the third book would bring in another mythic monster that she would also parallelly fall in love with.
The book, like the first one, is an easy and quick read. It is more smartly written and is a definite improvement over the first. It has more substance, although on the same lines.
Every Book has a Story:
I have already shared the story of this series in an earlier review. I was so sure I don’t want to read this series in continuation. But work schedules demand reading something as easy and mindless as this. To be fair, it is relaxing, almost meditative, to read something that does not require you to think at all.
