Name: Deception Point
Author: Dan Brown
Reading Time: 15 metro rides (most of it not read in the metro)
About the Book:
Deception Point is much like the Dan Brown I read (and wrote about). It’s technology based fiction, set in the United States, talks of national security issues. Somehow, reading two novels in the same genre in a row has taken away the charm from this one. But to be fair, I couldn’t stop reading this one till I had finished. It is lucid reading, typically in his style. Well researched. What I like about Brown is that he writes all the technical stuff to make sure the average reader understands how little he/she knows and then explains it simply, all of a sudden making the reader feel intelligent at having understood the jargon! Well it is a good read. But I am yet to understand why he feels the need to throw in the romance in the end. Makes no sense.

Final Analysis: Read it. It is better than a lot of other stuff available in the market.
