About the Book:
The book is a collection of four interconnected short stories about Feluda and Topshe. Set in Bengal, the stories are in the voice of Topshe, a teenaged boy whose older cousin, Feluda, is an amateur detective. The stories are simple, without many intricate twists and turns. The language is simple and matter of fact. Topshe, quite obviously in awe of Feluda, follows him around on his assignments and attempts to understand the observation and analysis required in each case.
The stories are classic tales of mystery revolving around theft and murder, written in a somewhat old fashioned style. They pertain largely to the Bengali bourgeois class.
