i have been told i am not a very physically expressive person… except maybe with my niece… i dont like to sit too close to people.. even if i have known them all my life… i am not the hand holding kinds… when girls around me cry, i have often been told by those around me to go and hug them… but if i were not told to, i dont think i would…
at my sister’s wedding, with buckets full of water streaming down both our faces.. we hugged each other.. clung on to each other as if we were never gonna meet again… in 7 years since her wedding, i have never again shook hands with her… i dont remember hugging anyone of my closest friends, except for the occasional goodbyes… yet,i firmly believe that a hug is the most beautiful way of telling someone that you care.. you can offer support, you can console, you can share happiness, sadness… a hug speaks volumes… and there are times when people just need to be hugged… sometimes talk becomes unnecessary with a good hug… sometimes a hug tells you that the other person is willing to talk…
innumerable times i have told myself to get a tad more expressive… innumerable times i have brooken this promise to myself… i sometimes see friends hugging each other and smile, coz i know how much it means to them… if i could only change… hugs to all i have missed out on hugging… i have no reservations on hugging my friends online… 🙂
