What if Edu raises twelve questions on various dimensions of education including classroom processes, pedagogy, assessment, and school administration. The author has a vast experience in the field of education and he uses that to understand, raise and address problems and challenges that arrive in the field of education. The issues raised are important and locate possibilities of a better education and school system. The questions would be relevant for all reflective teachers.
Baxi’s background is in ed tech and this shows in his writing. His solutions lean towards finding solutions in ed tech. Another author, with a different experience would have addressed the same questions differently. With a rich experience of the field, Baxi has been able to locate experiments of innovation in practice in various school settings. His book, though, lacks a theoretical grounding which an educationist can provide. Overall, a good read.
