The Time Machine

The famous time travel book by Wells is an interesting on life on this planet. Reflection on the theme of time travel by an inventor/scientist, Wells has attempted to also reflect on life as it unfolds on this planet, across centuries. Reflection on what life may be in the future and what might become of civilisation and the planet itself, is probably the biggest contribution. However, Wells has also addressed issues of science, skepticism, and interpersonal relations through the various characters in the book.
Reading it over a hundred years after it was originally written, the language and the plot does not seem as appealing as the imagination of  the writer. It is amazing to read what he thought would happen through time travel. The book ends with a fair warning at the end, with the time traveller never returning. It would be interesting to analyse the book from the perspective of each of the characters individually.

Overall a good read. And a must read. Just to get perspective.

I had been wanting to read this one for quite some time. Never got a chance. An app called Serial Reader introduced me to this book again. Although it should have taken a day, it took me almost ten days to read it. But I finally managed!
