This is the second book in the Prophecy Allocation series. A short and quick read, it can be finished in one sitting. And I think if you do choose to pick it up, you wouldn’t be able to leave it unfinished. The book, I think can best be categorised as fantasy fiction. I had to stop mid way to wrap my head around what was happening because the story unfolds into the really bizarre. Even in fantasy fiction, I have not read a book that is so fast paced. On top of the pace, it is also humorous. I found the footnotes distracting and quite frankly, I stopped reading them by the end of the third chapter. But at the end of the book, I came back to read the footnotes separately.
Although part of a series, the book reads well as a standalone. An enjoyable quick read. I would have put it in suitable for children because of the bizarre fantasy, but the language is not appropriate for children, at least not in India. It is not a serious read so fans of Douglas Adams’ genre can consider picking it up.
