Saurabh Singh’s debut novel, Feeling Blue! is described on its cover page as a love journey. The story is a young adult love story of a young engineering graduate and his escapades with love. Filled with fun, heart break, career choices, and eventually settling down, the story is quite predictable. Although, I am quite sure that college students would find it relatable. At many places, there are cliches about engineering students, medical students, DU students, girls, families and everything else under the sun. While there are many disclaimers, it is the treatment of these biases that are a problem more than the biases themselves.
The story could have been developed into a good book and the read would have been much more enjoyable if it was better edited. The language is in serious want of editorial inputs. Overall, a dry read.
