reading time: 3-4 metro rides (not read in the metro)
the book talks about alternative possibilities of reaching the doomsday. how the world could come to an end. the first chapter is dedicated to religious interpretation of what is called pralaya in hindu tradition and doomsday in judaism, chrisitainity, and islam. the other chapters are dedicated to phenomena of climate change, scientific advancement gone wrong, genocide, natural catastrophes, warfare and the like. it is an easy read book so doesnt take much time to finish. the conclusion of most of the causes of destruction is that it is unlikely to happen and poses no real threat. so essentially the world is not about to end anytime soon. the huamn race might, though.
favourite quote: it is not a quotes kind of book.
final analysis: not worth the little time it takes to read it. not boring but there is really no reason to read it either.
